We were recommended this place by a family member because we were in town from The Shoals area, and so glad we came! It's definitely southern style seasoned perfectly. I had the country fried steak and gravy with boiled cabbage, fried okra and mac&cheese and they met every expectation of what I was looking for in a meal for lunch. Highly recommend plus so many options to choose from!

I ordered the Braised Short Ribs through Postmates & I paid $35.80. When I received it, it was clearly very very old. It was also extremely hard, which confirmed it wasn’t freshly made the same day. It also only had meat on 1 side of the bone. I outreached Postmates & was basically told to outreach the store if I wanted any form of resolution. I outreached them & needless to say, the phone just rang. I was so confused because the 1st time we all ate there, we spent $137.53 and every part of every one of our meals were nothing short of amazing. We figured they may have had a bad day, so we would forgive it & maybe try again in the future. I gave the food to my XL Bully & SHEEEE wouldn’t touch it. And she literally will eat any & everything. When my husband said he had a taste for some liver, Dale’s was the 1st restaurant he inquired about if they serve it. When we confirmed they do, he ordered it & I requested the Smothered Pork Chop. We requested an extra side dish with our meals & extra gravy. Received neither. Paid for both. The Mac & Cheese was also dry. Again, when I outreached Postmates, I was again advised to outreach the restaurant. AGAIN, I received no answer. At this point, we will not be returning. It’s the principle. Can’t make it make sense even if I tried. Our meal today came to $58.77. If you total it up, I was originally sold a $137.53 dream just to be taught a $94.57 lesson. SMDH

Tremendously disappointed in the food. Every single thing tasted like it came straight from a freezer bag. They may have had a southern menu, but it’s veryyyy clear that this is not coming from anywhere near your grandma’s kitchen. My first tell tale sign was that our food came out in less than 5 minutes and they were busy! No real food comes out that fast. The meat ‘loaf’ was as thin as a hamburger, the ‘tomato sauce’ they wanted to put on top was truly just the salsa straight out of a plastic jug from Costco, the cheesy grits were lukewarm with some cheese shavings on top that never melted in, and the Mac and cheese… let’s just say I’m a person that will eat ANY manic and cheese (Kraft, kfc drive thru, anything) but THAT mac and cheese I couldn’t even force down 😭🤮
We will not be back, sorry. Service was great though. 🙏🏽 (but my husband and I knew something was up when there were hardly any black servers and majority Hispanics in a ‘southern food’ restaurant)

My wife and I came in and we were seated immediately. She had ate here before and said it was fine so we both ate here today. She ordered the rib plate and I ordered the Southern Cheeseburger. Waitress asked how I wanted my burger, I said medium with mayo and tomato only. It is supposed to have fried green tomatoes on the sandwich.
After waiting a little bit our food finally came out. My burger was loaded with lettuce and onions, no green tomatoes or mayo. It was also well done and already sorta cold. The fries came out in a small bowl. I was annoyed by the value of the meal by that alone, but the burger was not what I ordered so I sent it back wanting it cooked the way I asked for.
It came back out - it was the same burger with pieces of salad cut tomatoes. It literally had the same buns I had taken a bite out of. Instead of remaking the burger, they reheated it and sent it back out.
I then asked to speak to a manager over this as the kitchen was now being extremely lazy. 15-20 minutes go by and the manager basically refused to come out to speak to me about it and they told the waitress to say they were busy. They took the sandwich off my bill, but the laziness of the kitchen staff combined with the manager refusing to speak to me about the matter is appalling. I would recommend people avoid the place as for southern food in Alabama, they are about 50 other places to try in a 15 minute drive.

AMAZING!!!! My first time here and I will be back. There is so much to choose from and everything is delicious. I can come several times and not eat the same thing twice. Next time I'll save room for dessert.
