El Patron Bar and Grill is consistent in terms of food, cleanliness, and staff friendliness. There’s a wide selection of food on the menu. This is a great go-to place whether for lunch or dinner!

Do not come here. If I could leave negative stats I would. I have a picture of my receipt but there’s no option for me to attach so I will write exactly what is on our receipt at the end. Here is our order: 1 Sweet Tea, 1 Unsweetened Tea, Chips and Queso, Lunch Steak Fajitas, 3 Soft Tacos only steak with rice and beans, (basically the fajitas) THATS IT. Now here is what we were charged: AND I ASKED FOR IT TO EXPLAINED TO ME: Lunch Fajitas: 12.25, 3 Soft Steak Tacos ONLY 17.25, Rice and Beans 7.50, Two Drinks 6.50, Cheese Dip 6.50. Tax 5.00 Total 55. Asked the girl working to explain it and got a couple different answers to begin with and it came down to this. Then comes out with a menu and shows next time instead of the three PLAIN STEAK tacos with rice and beans to order the meal that is THE EXACT SAME thing but doesn’t include chips and cheese? We paid for our cheso separately but I told her I didn’t have chips or cheese on my plate either so that didn’t make sense. At first she stated each drink was 6.50 each and I was like WOW 6.50 for a drink?? And then it changed. Not to mention her and the server were rude when we were calmly asking questions about what we were charged for? And why I wasn’t charged for the meal I got? I was charged individually for each item instead of the meal itself. Which the meal she pointed out to me was exactly what I got. Each PLAIN STEAK taco is 5.75. This place is ridiculous. Hate to say it but this one of those places that people are warning you to check your receipts because they are charging you for whatever and this is obviously a place that is experienced enough to know how to lie about it and cover them. They were very rude about just being questioned too which says a lot. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS, not that it’ll do any good because they lie about it anyways, would just avoid this place in general now.

Extremely fast service for everything, drinks, food, and even our dessert that we got after we were given our bill. The prices are great and they have great chips with great salsa. They bring a good homemade tomato-based salsa with slight spice, a verde salsa with a lime base, and a bean dip to your table before you even order. The only problem we had was I ordered a top shelf frozen margarita and it came on the rocks instead of frozen, but everything else was extremely fast and tasted amazing. We even got an extra bowl of bean dip with extra chips at no additional charge. We will definitely be back within the next two weeks.

I have dined at El Patron twice now in the past 3 months. The service is extremely fast. They are more authentic than your average TexMex/ SouthEastern Mexican restaurant.
First off, they bring you out THREE complimentary dips for your chips: a Red Salsa, a Salsa Verde (green salsa), and a black refried bean dip with cheese sauce in it. That alone gives this place tons of “brownie points”, because I prefer salsa Verde over red salsa. Secondly, they offer Piña Coladas, Jarritos (multiple flavors), and aquas frescas— I thought this was impressive as well.
My first visit here they offered me “grilled jalapeños” when I asked for jalapeños—- they were spicy and delicious! (Not pictured). I ordered the carnitas meal, and a chili relleno ( I judge a Mexican restaurant’s quality by their chili rellenos… they definitely passed my test!) not only do they offer ground beef filled, but also SHRIMP filled chile rellenos — soooo yummy. I had so much food it didn’t even look like I had eaten anything and had tons to take home with me
During my recent visit, I ordered a steak fajita salad. It. Was. So. Good!
The steak was juicy and all the vegetables were good too. I asked for a side of queso and jalapeños. The total for my meal (plus extras), the complimentary dips, and nachos ended up being less than $12. Quite a steal for the amount of food I had! Great portion sizes.
I will definitely be seeing them regularly and trying other menu items 😊

This is the type of Mexican food I want to be eating. This restaurant is authentic, the service is super fast it was hard not to feel rushed. However, this also makes them hyper aware of emptying glasses. I chose the fried fish and I could not be more satisfied. The dish was delicious and came with rice and beans that were definitely different from your typical texmex restaurant. I would recommend.
