Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and the staff were genuinely nice, which always makes a meal better. The rotating daily specials mean there’s a reason to come back and try something new each time. Great value, great service — recommend it if you’re looking for real Southern cooking without the wait.

I came from Atlanta, GA to visit this national treasure of a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we felt like family. Arlene was a amazing, she was sweet, funny, and a wonderful host. Chris, the owner, was friendly and welcoming. It was an honor to finally get a chance to eat at this restaurant. I'd highly recommend anyone passing thru Birmingham, AL to visit this fine establishment.

Honestly, we just happened to look Mama'Nems up while on the road passing through Birmingham. But it may have stolen the title of best stop on our trip. The food was incredible and the only thing better was the staff. They were friendly and energetic while being so attentive in fixing everyone's plates. The food is truly worth the try. Everything a soul food connoisseur could possibly want. I highly recommend you check it out.

Oh my good Lord!!!! Listen, I was craving a home cooked soulful meal that I didn't have to cook and I found my forever spot. Everything was amazing. From the welcoming staff, to the flavorful meal. The atmosphere was beautiful and facility was very clean. I will definitely go back. Especially for a Sunday meal after church. I'm really excited that real food with a family vibe still exists. I have to say, this was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a soul food restaurant. The food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor—I couldn’t believe how incredible everything tasted. Every bite was absolutely delicious.
The customer service was top-tier. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home, even though I was visiting from New York. I wasn’t sure what to order, but they took the time to recommend some of their favorite dishes, and every recommendation was spot on.
This was an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. I can’t wait to come back to Birmingham, Alabama, just so I can enjoy their food again. Without a doubt, this place is a 1000/10. Highly recommend!
