While in town for work, I found myself craving Chinese food and decided to try Red Pearl Restaurant—and I’m so glad I did!
I started with the chive pancakes, which were absolutely fantastic—light, crispy, and perfectly cooked. Then came the mini soup dumplings, and they completely hit the mark. They cured my craving for Shanghai soup dumplings (my all-time favorite food), delivering that comforting, savory burst of flavor in every bite...ask for the black vinegar!
To round it out, I had the bok choy, which was simply delicious—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor.
If you’re looking for, satisfying Chinese cuisine, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be thinking about those dumplings long after this trip!

Pretty good food, a solid 4 /5 for Chinese food! We came here tonight, (17 Oct 25) as we're staying in the area. Upon entry, all the staff ignored us for a few minutes until we got someone's attention. Didn't have a reservation, not a problem as there's plenty of room.
The menu is fairly substantial with plenty of choice. Many unusual items like bull frog, Dragon fish etc.
We ordered fried dumplings(12) $9, Mongolian beef $14(with fried rice +$1.50), and sesame chicken $13 (with steamed rice). Dumplings were small but nice. Sesame chicken could have done with being more crispy as it was a bit soft. Beef was quite nice,.so overall pretty good.

I wanted something simple, quick and enjoyable and they delivered. They have a ton of options and Kevin helped point me in the right direction! He gave great service and I would definitely come back here.
I had the House Chow Mein and the Crab Rangoons and I recommend trying them!

Red pearl is fantastic and the best option for Chinese food in Birmingham! The restaurant is huge so there’s not often a wait and the service is good. I really enjoyed my boba..consistency of the pearls and the sweetness were perfect! I would get both meat dishes again. the beef with mixed vegetables and the orange chicken are yummy!! Their menu is huge so you will most likely find something for everyone in your party.

I ordered delivery from Red Pearl and the fried rice was so good! It actually had large chunks of meat in it and actual big pieces of egg in it as well like it should be. They use green onions instead of the large chunks of white onion like the restaurants back home. It was on point, best pork fried rice I've had in a long time.
